The City of Eureka’s Proclamation Acknowledges Kevin Bourque and the Black Faun Gallery for transforming our corner of Old Town

Hear ye, hear ye good people of Humboldt County. The City of Eureka made this Proclamation in recognition of Kevin Bourque on January 16, 2018!
It states….”Whereas the Black Faun Gallery, owned by Mr. Bourque, has contributed to the transformation of a chronically vacant corner of Old Town, has brought a flood of energy and enthusiasm for art in the City and serves as a hot spot of activity during Arts Alive; and
Whereas When people, either in the course of their jobs or in the course of their lives, enhance the well-being of the community, it is important to acknowledge their contributions.”

Another Black Faun Mural in Old Town

The Black Faun Art Project brings you another mural giving color and life to Eureka. Duncan Jago, aka Mr. Jago, has graced our building with his Impressionism meets Street Art style of painting. This vibrant, free-flowing mural is by far his largest work to date!

Here are a few shots of the artist at work.
